Graduate theses and research projects
Are you close to completing your studies, and are you intending to write a thesis that will not only make the grade but also have practical relevance, while making your insights available to a wide range of interested parties? Maybe you would also like to do empirical work on a larger scale?
Have your grades been above average during your studies? Have you also proven your skills during internships?
Then we should talk and explore possibilities for joint work.
We have already successfully sponsored a number of graduate theses and developed research papers together with the relevant academic departments. Furthermore, during our projects we regularly encounter issues that are relevant from a theoretical and/or empirical perspective and therefore merit a more in-depth analysis.
Our activities cover, e.g., the following topics:
- Company valuation: theoretical basis, modeling, perspectives for further development
- IFRS: purposefulness, corporate application practice and problems (e.g. IFRS 2, IFRS 3, IAS 17, IAS 36, IAS 38, IAS 32/39)
- Financing and cost of capital
- Options/derivatives: Models and empirical evidence
- Private equity from the perspective of value-based management: creation of added value, corporate application practice, entry and exit strategies
- Tax-optimised corporate structures
- Group structure decisions and IPO
- Risk premiums in European capital markets
- Regulation of structural decisions through corporate law
- Restructuring: legal structure and business management concepts
